About Coatings
Paint and coating, in a broad sense, is a covering on the surface of an object. The purpose of coating may be decorative or functional, and the coating itself may be a full coating that completely covers the substrate, or it may cover only a portion of the substrate. Most paints and coatings are dual-purpose, which mostly have both protective and decorative properties.
Coating is generally composed of four parts: polymer, filler, solvent and additives. According to different performance requirements, there will be changes in the proportion of ingredients. In recent years, environmental protection has been the consensus of all human beings. Under such development, a variety of green environmental protection coatings, such as powder coatings, photo-curing coatings, and water-based coatings, have also been produced. It is an excellent curing agent for exterior durable powder coatings based on carboxyl functional polyester, giving the properties which are substantially comparable to those of Polyester/TGIC systems. It also has an exceptionally clean toxicological profile, so it's a non-toxic curing agent for use in powder coatings.
